Harry Potter- The Spoilers

There are few people remaining on the planet who are true Harry Potter fans who have not yet finished the book, so I’m going to talk about it. WHY? Because now that I’m done, I can’t even find the spoilers on line. I want to know what other people think about the book. I’m so proud of these fans- it’s not been “in your face, here’s what happens” but rather, “I’m not going to give anything away...” Yay readers! I knew you were a conscientious group! But where are you now? Now that I yearn for the fellowship?

The Harry Potter books have been an amazing series, one of the best I’ve read. I love the details and the characters, I love the mystery and the creativity. The magic is awesome. All of that being said, I think book 7 is my least favorite of any.

My ability to retain information that I read is sometimes quite high and impressive and sometimes non existent. For some odd reason, I can’t remember many details from Harry Potter. Killer had to remind me that Snape killed Dumbledore in book 6. Yes, it’s that bad. So I’ll keep my critique to one fact: the cheese at the end.

Harry and Ginny? Ron and Hermonie? Couples forever and ever? I was disappointed in this. The books have been so full of surprises, so detailed, unexpected turns were everywhere. To have these folks couple up in the end seemed like the last 3 paragraphs of every term paper I had ever written- dripping with a sense of, “I’m glad this is over, let’s hurry up and end this shit.”

What are your thoughts? Does the cheese stand alone?
